Christmas Wish List

December 19, 2012 By Janine 8 Comments

The children have been offering suggestions for what they would like to find under the Christmas tree for a few weeks now. Nobody has asked what I would like, until Rachel at The Kids Are All Right tagged me in a Christmas Wish List meme.
What would I like?
  • A financially viable, personally fulfilling, passion fuelled, stay-at-home job.
  • Children who get to live their dreams.
  • An in instant weight loss system which reverts my body mass to that which I see in my mind, as opposed to what actually exists in the mirror. We can put people on the moon, and we can’t devise an eat-whatever-you-want-and-still-lose-weight sytem! It’s time to focus guys!
  • A bank account which automatically replenishes itself.
  • A self-cleaning house.
  • A round-the-world airline ticket accompanied by a five-star hotel gift card, giving me stays at the world’s top hotels.
  • A weekly delivery of new books.
  • Subscriptions to every magazine on the planet. Someone’s got to support ’em.
Aiming too high?
Have you actually made a list of what you want for Christmas? What did you wish for?

You dream big Mrs Shambles. But I especially love your first wish – and I think it is entirely possible! Hope Santa doesn’t keep you waiting too long. xxx

You should probably also ask for time to read the magazines…

The round the world trip staying at top hotels! I’m there! I can just imagine my suitcase full of the fancy ‘complimentary” toiletries now.

i hope you get the airplane tickets and hotel stays, janine! i’ll come meet you in new york or san diego, and we’ll visit and get cultured and introduce our children (before they are all grown!). also the unlimited books sounds good, but the magazines will just clutter up your house. i’d be more picky than that – there are a lot of yucky magazines out there! i also hope you get the fulfilling job at your house (although you seem so outgoing, you just might go crazy after a week or two and start working at a coffee shop to meet the people!)

    merry christmas!

Wouldn’t that be so wonderful meeting up in New York. Blog Her was in New York this year and I so wanted to go. It’s in Chicago next year. Funny that you think I would go crazy working from home, I did it for six years, but held lots of events/workshops/training sessions and had a team I looked after so that helped with the isolation. Since I’ve been back at work I realised it was definitely the social side of working that I missed the most. I’m the first one up for lunches or drinks after work, so you might have cottoned on to something there!
