About

A veteran of almost 17 years in the trenches of motherhood.  A failed yummy mummy who instead embraces the frumpy mummy world.

Have survived the stay-at-home years (10 in all), done all the options of working – from home, full-time, part-time – and can confidently say that NONE are perfect options.

Still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up. In the meantime I have had a crack at producing radio programs, pretended to be organised as an executive secretary, went all crafty flogging scrapping stuff for a direct selling company, and (almost) used my accidental teaching degree in creating programs to keep local kids at school.

Here at  Shambolic Living  you get to feel far happier about your own life when you experience the chaos of mine. I am coming to terms with being the mother of two teenagers, have given up on the dream of a tidy house and still plan to write a book one day.

If you would like a regular dose of all things shambolic you can follow me on Twitter or Facebook.

I stayed home as a mum for 5 years and loved it. I hope to retire from my teaching work as soon as possible…Our house is a mess – constantly. I love your presentation.
