Week in the Life – Sunday

April 23, 2017 By Janine 2 Comments

So Sunday rolls around and it’s a very lazy day.

There’s breakfast in town at LV’s … eggs benedict for the Princess Child, fruit ‘n nut toast for me.

I’ve decided after years of NOT scrapbooking I’m going to put the photos from this challenge into an album. I try to sort out exactly which photos I want printed from the week in the hope I can get them printed at Big W this afternoon.

I wander into Spotlight to see what scrapbooking supplies are available … it seems diecutting your own patterns is huge!

The prompt for the April Loves challenge I’m doing this month is bookshelf, so I rearrange the bookcase, it’s never looked so tidy!

Princess Child has a friend’s birthday dinner to go to tonight. So she does the driving, racking up those night hours for her logbook!

The night ends curled up on the lounge watching the Logies. The annual television awards night here in Australia. A bit of a slow show. The highlights being Casey Donovan singing Bowie’s Heroes for the in memoriam segment, Jessica Mauboy’s performance when she got the crowd on their feet dancing and Pete Hellier and Kat Stewart’s funny skit taking off the “jacket gate” affair. This is going to be hard to explain if you don’t live in Australia, but there was a fight between two TV journalists about them both wearing white, one told the other to go get a jacket because it looked stupid that they were all in the same colour. The off-air tape was leaked and it became a THING for days!

Sam Johnson won the Gold Logie for his role as Molly Meldrum in the mini-series Molly. Later Sam acknowledges it was the Facebook votes from the Love Your Sister charity which got him over the line. Sam’s been focused on the charity for the last couple of years, it was set up with his sister Connie, who is in the final stages of her battle with breast cancer.

So that’s it folks, I got through the week! My first time doing A Week In The Life. It’s been an interesting experience, learning to think visually about the things you do each day. Next time around I’ll think more carefully about what to document and have more variety in my photos, there’s been a LOT of shots of the girls this week! I will also make more of an effort to incorporate the ordinary, everyday tasks. Overall though it was fun and I’m looking forward to putting it all together in a scrapbook album.

Thanks for following along.
