Alright, everyone can relax, I’ve got everything sorted. I’m working on ten-year-plan. Yep me the girl who couldn’t commit to anything for longer than 18 months is working on a TEN YEAR PLAN.
So far I’ve got I want a million dollars in the bank. As per usual I’m a little hazy on the details (really more a big picture person but you know that already) but somehow I’m going to learn how to INVEST and GROW money.
Secondly, I’m retiring from my job in 2026 at age 58 and am going to manage the careers of my artistic daughters – we’ll be earning a fortune in an Etsy shop selling botanical prints and photographs. I’m gunna be the Kris Jenner of the online art world!
I’ll be writing books on the side, you know between selling drawings and photographs for hundreds of dollars and yelling at the girls to MAKE MORE.
Isn’t it sounding good? This is so goin’ to happen.
Do you have a plan for your life? Five year plan? Ten year plan? How’s it working out for you?
On the positive it’s the first time in two years I’ve been able to look ahead beyond the next day, so maybe I’m making progress with this grief thing.

Ooooh I want to retire at 58 too! No idea how, but I want to get both kids through high school then run away to the beach.

Yes the detail of “how” is the tricky bit … working on it … will let you know when I find the secret.

I think you would enjoy Tim Ferris’ book ‘The four hour workweek’. Lots of food for thought.
I rarely respond to your posts (sorry about that), but always enjoy them (thank you!).
I am looking forward to your books – you write very well.
