There was someone missing this week.
Someone who should have been there to celebrate the life milestone of a daughter getting a licence.
Someone who should have sat me after the Senior Soiree, where his daughter displayed her art and sang her heart out, dissecting the evening with pride.
Someone who should have suffered with me through another school awards ceremony and been amazed at what his daughter had managed to do.
It’s just the start of the missing.
Electronic hugs from me.
Thanks Alana, looking forward to hearing about the new job.
Big, big hugs.
Thanks Rach.
A milestone week that would have been very tough.
Thinking of you.

Thanks Kylee.
That had crossed my mind how bitter-sweet the licence would have been… Quite honestly you are completely impressing and amazing me how you are coping. .. even though there are bad days and there will be more – you have got on with things with a sense of humour and a can-do-attitude. Please remember you can have can’t-do-days too. Always ‘down the road’ if you need to escape – there’s beds for all of you and we’d love to have you – even if you decide last minute! xxx

Thank you Melissa.
It’s a big empty spot. I’m so sorry. Other people can come with you to these events, and it will not be the same.
