I’m reliving my youth at present as I go though mountains of old photos. I think it is an avoidance tactic but we’ll skip over that little issue. Reading Alana’s blog the other day I was reminded of this little gem of an Aussie movie.
I loved it.
I tried to think of my top three best-loved movies of my youth. Turns out I’ve got a bit of thing for musicals ’cause I reckon I’d go, Grease, Footloose and the old Starstruck.

I loved star struck too, my grandfather was in it. I was also obsessed with St. Elmo’s fire. Those were the days
Wow you know somebody in Starstruck. And St Elmo’s Fire – Rob Lowe *sigh*.
You know, I haven’t seen this movie, but I feel like I should watch it immediately. Yes. Rob Lowe in St. Elmo’s Fire is where it’s at. While those weren’t necessarily the movies I grew up with – I feel like I relate to them better. Fun fact, the number one character in a musical I would want to play is Ariel from Footloose. Sandy or Rizzo from Grease is pretty close behind.
