Happy New Year

January 3, 2014 By Janine 10 Comments

Welcome 2014.

We’ve crossed off another 12 months and now we are wiping the slate clean with a brand new year, all ready for us to venture in with our dreams, plans, goals, misgivings, good luck, bad luck.

Are you making any resolutions? I don’t think I’m going to this year, think I’ll just try to make it a “go with the flow” year and see what happens.

We spent the final day of 2013 with some friends and their family at a peaceful riverside farm. (Thanks Therese).

Hello, long time no read. Looking at those serene, divine, WARM images makes me wonder why I was born here, snort, laugh…it is -38 C here tonight with the wind chill- no wonder Canada is called the True Noreth strong and free- no one would bother going to war over this frigid land

Oh gosh that’s cold. My husband was looking at pictures of Canada just yesterday and saying how much he wants to visit – definitely need to go in summer. We are in the middle of a heatwave. Yesterday was horribly hot 36 C (opposite of you guys) and I keep looking at the hole where the pool was supposed to be and trying to figure out a way to afford to get it in!

It has been a warm end to 2013 and into 2014! But give me plus 36 any day rather than -36 please! I too will be a softie and visit Canada in the mid summer!

Happy New Year, Janine! 2013 was a really hard year for me so I was quite happy to see the end of it. Here’s hoping for a much better year this year. That creek looks like HEAVEN to me… we are sweltering in dreadful heat here and NATURALLY our air conditioning has chosen NOW to not work properly. *sigh* Hope you and your family are all well xx
