Wow I am dazzled by your research and the poetry in its delivery. What an amazing 45 years for you and the world.

For some of those years I wasn’t around, for most I was in England, so a couple of the references were lost on me, but most of them I knew. My sister was wildly obsessed with Scott, Charlene, kylie and Jason, so we watched them get married over and over on VHS. And then we watched the music video “especially for you” analysing every moment in case we could see trace of a real love affair. The post made me smile and think 🙂

I’m impressed you identified so many when you weren’t living here, but of course Scott and Charlene – they were global!

Wow there are so many significant moments there. Funny how sometimes those ‘moments’ are on a huge scale and sometimes it really is the little things that matter. I’m pleased I was around (and an adult with access to a TV) to see a Prime Minister say sorry. Lovely post.
Janine says
It was funny putting it together how many things actually repeated over the years, flooding, wars, sacking prime ministers. Yes there were big historical moments that came to mind, but lots of “smaller” pop culture ones too.

Well captured … Makes planet earth sound a rather frightening place actually … Hope the next 45 will b a little calmer ??

I know, there was a section there where I was just adding disaster after disaster, got a bit depressing so I threw in Abba, Disney and Neighbours to lighten the mood.

Wow! What a great look back to 45 years! What moment stands out for me ? Lots. Including the passing of Michael Jackson. Listening to the news on the radio on the way to work that day was almost surreal.
Happy Birthday! 🙂
Janine says
Didn’t think of Michael Jackson, funny you were listening to a radio show for the news, I was producing one when it came through that he had died, I remember trying to find Glenn A Baker for an interview on Jackson’s contribution to the world of music.
