I may be a little early here, our Tuesday may arrive ahead of the Tuesday of Moments that Define Life but I will be linking up with Nicole’s Listable Life when you American’s eventually catch up!
- People (and they know who they are) not putting the butter back in the fridge after they use it.
- People (the same ones who have a problem with the butter) using the last of the toilet paper and not putting a new roll in the holder.
- Homework. I’m doing more homework now than when I was AT school and seriously folks I’m over it (and we are only 6 weeks into the new school year).
- Television stations who muck around with their programming. Moving the times of my favourite shows (I have a schedule you know) and worse than that putting on one or two new episodes then sneaking repeats back in, if I’m a fan of the show I want the new stuff. I am the most obedient and loyal of viewers, leave me a cliffhanger I will be waiting with baited breath for the next instalment, I CARE about the characters you create and when you disregard my feelings I get hurt and start to lose interest – just warning you I may not be here when you finally decide to play the rest of the new eps.
- The automated system on bill paying/fault reporting/service centres lines. When I have a query and end up trapped in a neverending circle of robotic voices issuing useless instructions that don’t get me any closer to speaking to a real, live human being the insanity of the situation drives me bonkers.
What are your pet peeves?

4 and 5 for certain!!! Cute post!

In reference to #5), what I hate even worse is getting a phone call, then being asked to hold while the automated messenger transfers your call to a live person. Seriously? And they want to make a sale? Yeah, right. It makes you want to track down the person who thought that idea up, and choke him/her a time or two. LOL 🙂

hmm. i like reading about your pet peeves, but i have not thought about mine. getting stuck at red lights when no cars are going the other way. is that a pet peeve? happy tuesday, and you are definitely on the vanguard – it’s still monday here.

Great post! I seriously DREAD the day that our girls are old enough for homework…I have a feeling I’ll be right there with you on #3! And wow, I forgot about #5 when putting together my pet peeves list…that drives me bonkers too!! 🙂

I’m with you on #4….that really upsets me. Glass of wine in hand, all ready to go, wine in hand, and nothing. Kills me after a day with toddlers. 🙂
Thanks for linking up!

I’ve only got one and I married him, so I guess it’s a self inflicted peeve that I’m learning to live with 🙂

i’ve given up on trying to watch tv shows on the night they’re “scheduled” to be on! i pretty much watch everything online now, when i feel like it. much easier!
shambolicliving says
I think that’s much more sensible.

I can think of three off hand (should this concern me?):
1) people who think it’s “funny” to wave their hands in front of a camera as you’re taking a picture, 2) people who press down to hard with sharpie markers, 3) girls who call dibs on boys and then don’t do anything about it

Your #2 in our home never ceases to frustrate me. Are they waiting for the toilet roll fairies to replace it? My top 5 are:
1. Hanging things up on the floor
2. Using my stuff and not returning it
3. Putting on a DVD and then everyone talks over it
4. Not listening
5. Constantly being interrupted when I am on the phone, which is not often.
