Janine I have just been reading through your past posts and I am in awe of you – I truly am. I too am a crisis catholic and I have lost count of how many deals I have made with God in my 41 years. The way you write to Simon in heaven makes me both smile and shed a tear. You are incredibly brave and awesome and well… I just wanted you to know that that was what I am feeling about right now. Hi Janine, I had not checked out your blog in a long time and was shocked and saddened to read about your loss! My condolences to you and your family, this must be a very trying time, I can’t imagine how hard it must be.

One of my favorite Robin Williams movie’s is ‘What Dreams May Come”, check it out if you have not already. It is sad a film but also a hopeful film as well.

Dear Simon,
Can you stop over at school and let them know that your sweetie and kids are at this point just surviving and anything else is a miracle? They could use the support – and the understanding of the schools. Academics are important, but your dramatic exit – well, there it is – your family’s struggles come first.

Please also remind Janine and your kids that they are in no way responsible for the events. Perhaps a good dream with no arguing will do the trick?

Simon, I’m sorry about your passing, and yet happy to be getting to know you through these letters. You really are something!
