There will be a blog post about this next week. I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday. I woke up after the surgery and was trying to engage the nurse in conversation and they just kept ignoring me and talking to my roommate because “I wouldn’t remember it anyway” – well, I was wide awake the rest of the day and feeling fine and I don’t feel like I should have been ignored. So frustrated. I’m also sad about your book shop situation. Maybe that can be your next business venture.

i’m with you 150% about bookstores! I do buy online, but try to buy more in real stores. and not half-price ones. i think books are part of what make an educated, civilized society. so keep reading, and let’s give books as gifts, too, shall we? blessings, n

You made me smile. When I was in my original homeland Canada a few years ago (visiting) I went to “my” bra shop. Where had all “my” bras gone? They discontinued my size!!!! WHAT??? How is that possible? Like my breasts don’t matter and everyone else’s do? LIKE I don’t exist? Apparently it was their lowest seller. YEAH! I kid you not, my size was their lowest seller. I sat on the curb outside the store and cried. YUP!!! I have a love hate relationship with these tits and that was just too much to bear.
Also, very much hate Offspring!! Not a very creative show. Gave up after a few episodes. Have you tried looking into Netflix. We pay $5 a month for http://www.unblock-us.com. They give you an American IP Address. Then we pay for Netflix. You can’t get Netflix in Australia with out a North American IP address. All up I think we pay $13 a month. So much cheaper than Foxtel, and you can pause shows wherever, and they have THOUSANDS OF SHOWS. But you do need good internet 🙂

Obviously the answer to open your own coffeeshop/bookshop that doesn’t do breakfast. Tourists like me would come and love it. We have one here in our dying western NSW town of 8000 people. Everyone uses it. The town would be lost without it. And they do a roaring trade following presentation nights for the schools. It doesn’t serve coffee, or stock bras, but that doesn’t seem to matter. If anyone ever visits Inverell, visit The Dust Jacket. Now that’s the sort of shop I can imagine you in (complete with the coffee out the back). Here’s to winning Powerball this week.
