That actual nearly impossible one is what if you’re at your first job and looking for your second job without telling anybody – who the heck do you use as references then?

I don’t know how useful it is Janine, I haven’t tried to get a job with it, I just joined a few groups, but all the endorsements & references that you can accrue must count for something, somewhere, sometime.

I too have some great written references and it is an ego boost to look back on then. I hadn’t thought of young people missing out on that. Well there were a couple of bomb threats – but we just evacuated the building and went to the pub – I was VERY CALM at the pub. The rest of the “emergencies” probably involved temperamental presenters/producers – it was a tumultuous time at the station and there were a string of them coming through the revolving door.
