I am hoping for a room of my own in about 12 months when the reno is done. Right now, my space is a dining table, covered with a dirty tablecloth and a pile of papers and books. We eat dinner on our laps in front of the TV. Breaking all sorts of “happy healthy family” rules 🙂

I really enjoy my own space and am in the process of getting a room of my own (I am very lucky in this regard). I think that the modern world is such a busy place that now and then you need a space to be calm and alone to regather thoughts and ideas.

I’ve done the same with the making a space that I enjoy, except I set up a lovely desk with lovely ‘things’ and proceeded to use it as a dumping ground and have as yet never worked at it. Pretty though!
And what’s this about not getting employed after 45!?!?! I better be a good girl at work, I haven’t been out of work since my early 30’s and that was to have a baby! This reaching middle age thing is nothing like the brochures.
