I really missed the beach when we lived in Brisbane – and it was only 40 minutes away! I’m not even a swimmer at the beach – I just like to look at it.

I’d love to be in the middle, but live in the middle of nowhere! Sometimes it would be nice to have the beach close by and not have to drive 3 hours to see a band.

I really love Port Macquarie, and while I do think that building looks a little shoehorned into the spot, I think it’s a great building and good for PM to have it. I grew up in a country town (like you) and there was very little exposure to cultural events. I can totally understand how great it is for you and the girls to have that there. As long as its affordable for everyone – the arts can so often be out of reach for a lot of people.
