I blame Brooke Shields for my eyebrows in the above photo – she was very into thick eyebrows at the time. Even the photos you think were good at the time end up just that little bit silly once you add 20 plus years – take the clothes for a start!

Hadn’t thought of that you are right the school photos are probably going to be amongst the only hard copies of photos that will exist for them.

It wasn’t just the hair. Do you smile or not, tilt your head, raise your chin, look through your lashes… Augh! I still hate having my picture taken. I’d rather clean the toilet than stand in front of a camera.

Especially to line them up next to each other. I mean – and pretty much any pre-teen/early teenage photo you ever take of yourself is supposed to look ridiculous – I’m pretty sure. Between my eyebrows and my frizzy hair – it was a miracle if anything good ever showed up on the photograph.
