At the moment it’s completely stressful. I left wp.com because the commenting system had problems (although at the moment I still have the same commenting system). I’m unable to download plugins to make a few changes and it is bugging me no end. Another blogger commented she lost her blogging mojo when she did it and I certainly have. I’m also really disappointed that I lost all my wp.com followers (they can transfer over your email followers with the Jetpack plugin which I’ve done) but your wp.com followers can’t be transferred and because I didn’t realise that I didn’t even get a message to them that I was moving and now there is no way of seeing who they were! Hopefully, if I can get it set up the way I want then I can just go back to writing and not worry too much about the technical stuff.

I had the same problem! After trying out a few options, I’m using a plugin called “WTI Like Post”. It’s a simple Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down option that can appear on each post. It’s not the same as getting to see the gravatars of people who like your posts, but it at least allows readers to give some feedback if they don’t want to write out a comment.

Isn’t it a pain? There’s a few things from wp.com I’m going to miss – the “like this post” button for instance – still trying to find a replacement plug in for that!
