I don’t want you to freak out, but this photo was taken in the picnic area of one of our local beaches. They do also wander into backyards. But seriously if you don’t bother them they don’t bother you. It’s a monitor lizard (goanna) there’s lots and lots of different types I’m not sure which version this one is…and they’ve got to be really really cranky to start breathing fire. LOL.
